Surprise, surprise! I’m doing another tag!
I was tagged in a couple of fun tags towards the end of last year and this is me trying to catch up in an acceptable time frame. One of these is the Memez Tag, a super fun tag, in which I was tagged by Naemi @A Book Owl’s Corner. Thank you for tagging me, Naemi! Memes are one of my primary sources of enjoyment, so I’m excited to show you all some of my favourites. Do check out Naemi’s post too, because she has shared some very funny and very relatable memes in it herself!

A Harry Potter Meme
Does this one count? You know what, I found it by googling “harry potter memes”, so it counts. This photo alone is peak comedy and the spell just elevates it. I died laughing the minute I saw it, it’s definitely the funniest thing I saw today!
A Bookish Meme
Story of my life! No matter how many unread books I have at home, I can never resist a stroll into the bookstore. By the way, I debated putting a meme from the Sparknotes twitter account for this one, but I couldn’t pick just one; it’s literally the funniest social media account out there!
A Covid-Related Meme
It is a known fact that Balkan people love our alcohol (not me, though; I’m a disgrace to the entire peninsula), especially our moonshines, which we also believe are the cure for everything. Do you remember at the start of the pandemic when there was an assumption going around in scientific circles that alcohol beats the coronavirus? Combined, these two bits of information powered the balkan meme industry for months. You wouldn’t believe the amount of variations I’ve seen, all equally hilarious!
This is the number one reason my sleeping schedule is a mess. Every night, the minute I close my eyes, my brain decides to show me the top ten most embarassing moments of my life. I don’t know why, but it seems that our minds believe 3 am is the best time to unpack and resolve traumatic experiences of the past. It’s so fun! Who needs sleep anyway, am I right? On another note, I am obsessed with the bonjour bear meme; it’s so incredibly funny to me for some reason!
This is so stupid, why am I laughing so hard? I’m starting to believe that all those years on the Internet have ruined my sense of humour. I always lose it over the most random things (case in point: the picture above).
Cartoon-Character Related Meme
This meme is sponsored by social anxiety. I hate that I’m like this, but I take the slightest shift in tone (both in speech and in texts) as a hint that I have upset my friends and they now hate me. I know and understand that we can’t always be cheery when having conversations but the little voice inside my head feeds off all my insecurities at any given chance.
Of course my chosen subject for this is English. As a person who studied English as a foreign language for years and is now teaching it as such, I feel this meme in my very soul. The number of times this has happened to me is actually embarassing and it’s always about everyday things. One time I forgot the word for spoon. While laying the table. In front of my entire family.
This is very similar to Naemi’s choice and that speaks of our wonderful sense of humour. Puns, after all, are the highest form of it on this earth.
Fellow procrastinators, make some noise!! And of course, if the clock turns 5:05, for example, I have to wait until 6:00 to
postpone start doing some work. I don’t understand how people sit down and just start doing things, it has never been me.
Please don’t judge me. As I said before, my sense of humour must have been damaged from all that Internet exposure. I genuinely find this hilarious!
(only if you’re interested of course)
